THIS MARCH: PORTLAND DINING MONTH RETURNS WITH MORE THAN 130 PARTICIPATING RESTAURANTS

Local chefs serve up $33 three-course dinner menus all month long

PORTLAND, Ore. – Feb. 12, 2020 – It’s the time of year Portlanders look forward to most each winter: an accessible, month-long celebration of the city’s best chefs and restaurants. Portland Dining Month, Travel Portland’s beloved initiative for more than 10 years, returns this March with more than 130 local restaurants preparing three-course dinners for just $33, every night of the week.

A favorite citywide event among locals and visitors alike, Portland Dining Month continues to grow its list of top restaurant participants each year. Each restaurant offers a unique three-course prix fixe dinner menu, allowing diners to get a taste of some of the city’s finest cuisine at an affordable price. The vast 2020 roster proves to be the best yet and showcases the diverse culinary scene with thoughtful meals prepared by new chefs on the scene as well as local icons. Some examples of this year’s participants include Aviary, Bar West, Bullard, Canard, Flying Fish Company, Kachka, Revelry, among others. A full list of participating Portland Dining Month restaurants and their menus can be found at PortlandDiningMonth.com.

“We look forward to the return of Portland Dining Month each year, especially as the city’s food scene remains one of the best — if not the best — in the country,” said Jeff Miller, Travel Portland president and CEO. “Portland Dining Month is a great way to experience the city’s culinary offerings at an affordable price as this annual tradition celebrates the diversity, innovation and excitement that continues to make Portland a top culinary destination.”

Making a reservation for Portland Dining Month can also benefit the local community. Travel Portland has partnered with OpenTable again this year; a donation will be made to Oregon Food Bank’s hunger-relief efforts for every reservation booked at participating restaurants through PortlandDiningMonth.com. Since 2011, Portland Dining Month has raised more than $29,000 for Oregon Food Bank, or roughly the equivalent of 87,790 meals, as reported by Oregon Food Bank’s corporate and community relations officer Yan Medice in February 2020.
